Laceration and Wound Repair
Updated Shots and Minimize Scarring
Lacerations are among the most common injuries that require a procedure in the urgent care setting. Skin laceration repair can be done with sutures, skin adhesives like derma-bond, staples or skin closure tapes like steri-strips and laceration repair can help stop the bleeding, avoid infection and restore function. Carolina Priority Care physicians can update tetanus immunizations and help achieve optimal cosmetic results with minimal scarring.

Fever Evaluation
For Children and Adults
There are pros and cons of treating fever. Fever may play a role in fighting infection, but it can also make an adult or child very uncomfortable.
The height of a fever is not always the best indicator of whether someone needs to be treated and/or evaluated. Instead, it is important to note how that person is behaving as well as their appearance. Fevers are usually accompanied by other symptoms. Some of these symptoms require evaluation by a health care provider, even if there is no fever.
In most cases, someone with a fever can be observed and/or treated at home. However, it is important for care givers to know when someone with a fever needs to be evaluated by a health care provider, when fever should be treated, and when it is reasonable to observe the person without treating the fever.
Care givers who have questions or are concerned about their loved ones, should seek immediate advice or treatment from either Carolina Priority Care or their regular medical provider.

Pre-Employment Physicals
Many employers require pre-employment physicals to ensure new hires are physically capable of performing their job and meet general health standards. These exams help reduce the risk of work-related injuries and illnesses, determine proper employee placement and prevent excess absences due to illness.

Occupational Drug Testing
We provide comprehensive occupational drug testing services to ensure a drug-free environment in the workplace. Drug-free environments are critical for the safety and health of employees and consumers. Employers that maintain drug-free environments ensure the recruitment of high quality employees, maximize productivity, and reduce the incidence of work-related injuries.

Work-Related Injuries
An industrial injury refers to any type of injury that occurs while working. This injury is usually the result of an accident and can be caused by certain environmental conditions, misuse of equipment, or improper adherence to safety guidelines. Chronic injuries may also develop as a result of repeated activities such as typing or poor job-specific technique. Industrial injuries most frequently affect the neck and back. Injuries that occur while working should be reported immediately. They should receive prompt and proper treatment.
At Carolina Priority Care, we are experienced in treating work-related injuries and helping employees achieve a quick and full recovery. We are accessible 7 days a week with extended office hours for your employees to experience minimal waiting time in our office. We also have access to laboratory and radiological services as needed and we communicate with employers and insurers on a regular basis and complete paper-work in a timely fashion.
